Presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and produced by Windmill Grass Theatre

Presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and produced by Windmill Grass Theatre, TREATS will run for 5 performances at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Studio Theatre from 18 to 20 July this year. We have relocated the play by Christopher Hampton, the Academy Award winner for Dangerous Liaisons, from Britain to present-day Hong Kong, showing how the same emotional power struggles between men and women persist across different times and places.

The original play was written by the award-winning playwright Christopher Hampton. His notable works include Dangerous Liaisons, Carrington and Total Eclipse, among others.

Show dates:

17 - 20/07/2008

Synopsis:

Ann (played by Kearen PANG) and Patrick (played by Edmond TONG) had just started dating 3 months ago. One night when they were enjoying some alone time at home, a loud noise came from the kitchen—it turned out to be Ann’s ex-boyfriend Dave (played by Joey LEUNG) breaking in. Not only did Dave find out Ann had changed all the locks to the doors and windows, but he had also just discovered he was broken up with!

This production stars the leading actors of Windmill Grass—Joey LEUNG of Queer Show and Edmond TONG of Hamletmachine, in collaboration with 29+1’s Kearen PANG, exploring the emotional tension between men and women in an unideal relationship through a timeless play.
